A little about me
Brooke -Wanderscot
Hello, my name is Brooke. I was born and raised here in Scotland in a city called Aberdeen in the North East. I study Scottish studies at the University of Aberdeen. I learn Scottish Gaelic, Archaeology, history, and folklore. Before that, I studied Animal behavior and environmental sciences, such as biology and ecology, and was a veterinary assistant. I am also a proud mother of two handsome loons (boys).
When I am not studying, you will find me hiking the hills, discovering caves, exploring hidden gems, or doing tours of the North Coast 500 in Scotland. I don't have one genre, as Scotland has much to discover. My explorations are limitless. There isn't a corner of Scotland I am yet to find.
Growing up, I spent many weekends hiking the munros with my now-late grandfather. I also had an obsession with learning about history and culture. It all started with a horrible history book. Since then, I have continued expanding my account and folklore knowledge.
I have decided to write a blog showcasing a truer Scotland and what it offers, not just the general tourist stuff. I spend a lot of time sourcing places, exploring them, taking people out on tours, or designing itineraries. I will never post about somewhere I haven't been myself; all pictures I use are my content. I will describe the places I visit the best I can while also sourcing amenities and making recommendations.
I hope you will enjoy it, take inspiration from it, and visit one of my tours.
Please, if you have any queries, feel free to get in touch.
Love from Scotland
